Early Life & Background
At only 18 years old, DC3 has been causing waves in the music industry with his transcendent lyrics and beat selection that has left many of his fans wondering how such genius could be found in someone as young as him. After a transformative shift to Christianity, he gained a newfound desire to express his faith and purpose authentically, and he chose none other than what he is best at: rapping.

But I know we’re all wondering what DC3 stands for, right? Well, when asked the same question in an interview by Premier Gospel, he revealed that DC just comes from the first letters of his first and last name and the “3” symbolizes him as a third-born among three siblings.
Musical Beginnings
So how did he get into rap in the first place? DC3 was actually introduced to rap music by his older sister when he was around 8 years old and actually revealed he had close to no interest in rap music before she plugged him. Bringing his older brother into the conversation, DC revealed that he really helped him with his creativity, having grown together exploring different things on the creative side of music and social media (maybe why his marketing is always on point).
Growing up, he listened to a lot of Zimbabwean Christian music groups, including SDA group songs from Zimbabwe, and was only allowed to listen to such songs before being plugged into hip hop by his sister.
Music Career So Far
Fast forward to 2020; DC3, like many of us during the pandemic, found himself with a lot of time on his hands, and to his advantage, he put his time to good use. He started recording several car freestyles and uploading them to social media, and eventually, he went viral, and after lockdown eased off, he started hitting the studio and has not looked back ever since. (Shocker here, DC3 was around 14 years old at the time.)
He has since been compared with Kendrick Lamar, with many people calling him the “British Kendrick Lamar.” He now uses his music to empower Christians all over the world, showing young people it’s dope to embrace their faith and let it shine to the world.
Discography
He currently boasts an impressive catalogue full of only bangers, and the numbers speak for themselves. He currently has over 225,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, with his most listened-to song, “I KNOW,” having already surpassed 2.3 million plays. His YouTube channel, on the other hand, has over 79,000 subscribers and over 4 million views in total. Some of his most popular songs include “Passion,” “Expectations,” “8am in London,” “Purpose,” “KEEP UP,” “Wanna Be,” “Embrace It,” “UPSTAIRS, JUDGE,” and “I KNOW.”
